What is Fiberon™?
With so many filament types, it can be hard to know which to choose. To simplify, Fiberon™ is Polymaker’s new line of fiber-reinforced 3D printing materials, including strong carbon and glass fiber filaments. These materials print without an enclosure and require an abrasion-resistant nozzle (except PETG-ESD). The number in the name (e.g., CF10 or GF30) indicates the fiber content; balancing strength & printability.
What happened to Polymide™?
You may have noticed that some of our Polymide products now carry the name Fiberon. This refined new branding reflects our dedication to advancing high-performance composite filaments, optimizing both printability and cost-performance ratio. As our family of fiber-reinforced materials continues to expand, Fiberon emerged to better represent its strength, innovation, and quality.
Now that we know what Fiberon™ is, let's explore some awesome ways to use it! These high-strength filaments are perfect for:
- Strong, Lightweight Parts – Great for drones, robotics, and automotive components.
- Durable Tools & Jigs – Perfect for manufacturing aids, brackets, and fixtures.
- Heat-Resistant Parts – Ideal for engine bays or high-temperature environments.

Car Components
High heat resistance is a new frontier for desktop FDM printing, meaning there aren’t many files designed for these applications yet. However, Fiberon™ PPS-CF10 excels where other materials fall short—making it perfect for components in your car engine!
